Solé Bertrán SL encompasses a group of companies that, having diverse activities, are all related to each other, to offer an integral service to our clients.
After years of experience in quail farming, the idea of ??directly sacrificing, transforming and marketing quail was born. Thus, in 1980, the company Urgel Ganadera SA was created. "URGASA" Quail slaughterhouse located in the founder's home...town, Juneda (Lleida).
With the increase in demand, SAT 5749 Codornices Urgell was born in 1984, thus intensive quail farming is reorganized, investing in fattening farms, breeding farms and incubation room, controlling the complete cycle of integrated production, slaughter, conservation and commercialization. Also, the marketing activity of game birds, selected game birds, for repopulation of preserves is started.
In 1988 a quail slaughterhouse was acquired in Zuera (Zaragoza), creating the company Codornices La Font, SL.
The year 1991 arrives, the slaughterhouse "URGASA" requires of a complete reform, it is invested in an innovative polyvalent chain, with the purpose of sacrificing quail, picantones and partridges in a same installation, doubling the production in two turns, which allows to centralize the production and conservation of canals in a single installation, thus the production of Zuera is definitively transferred to Juneda.
